The AIEA-NBER Conference Series is a collaboration between the Asian Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association (AIEA) and the National Bureau of Economic research (NBER). The 8th AIEA-NBER conference is to be held at the School of Entrepreneurship and Management, ShanghaiTech University (http://lawyer0797.com/sem_en) on August 23rd -25th, 2020. The conference series focuses on research in the economics and management of innovation and entrepreneurship, highlights the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in shaping economic prosperity, and provides a forum bringing together leading scholars from both the US and Asia to enhance collaboration within our research community.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- The changing nature of innovation, including the rise of Digital Transformation, such as AI (artificial intelligence), cryptocurrency, autonomous machines, and the changing natureof the process of innovation andentrepreneurship
- Innovation; entrepreneurship; economic growth; and new insight into the drivers and structure of the knowledge productionfunction
- Theevolutionofintellectualpropertymanagement,innovationpolicy,&entrepreneurship policy
- Regional and global trends in the development of innovation andentrepreneurship ecosystems
- Industrial convergence, including increasing integration between manufacturingand services
All interested researchers are invited to participate in the 8th AIEA-NBER conference, which will include both paper sessions as well as a select number of panel discussions.

Interested authors are encouraged to submit unpublished working papers or early draft (more than 10 pages with results). For co-authored work, please specify who will be the presenting author.
Proposals should be submitted by May 15th, , 2020, but we would welcome earlier submission. (Submission link will be shared in the later notice).Notification to presenters will be made by June 15th, 2020, and complete papers will be due to discussants by July 31.
Registration for the conference can be made through http://nber-aiea2020.lawyer0797.com by July 31st, 2020. The registration fee is RMB 1000 for faculty and researchers and RMB 500 for students. The conference fee will cover conference proceedings, reception and other conference facilitations. Details of conference program will be provided later.
The Asian Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association (AIEA) - The purpose of the Asian Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association (AIEA) is to advance the economic growth and quality of life in Asian countries by stimulating and disseminating innovation in diverse areas of Asian society. In order to achieve this goal, the AIEA builds strong partnerships and promotes cooperation among participant countries by:(1)building the AIEA as a platform for coordinating activities;(2)preparing funds for various activities and programs which stimulate innovation;and (3) enhancing collaboration across universities, governments, and companies.

The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) - The NBER is the nation's leading nonprofit economic research organization. Twenty-two Nobel Prize winners in Economics and thirteen past chairs of the President's Council of Economic Advisers have been researchers at the NBER.
